Blasius Schmid is a junior researcher in the Bioeconomy programme. He holds a MSc in Forest Sciences from University of Natural Resources and Life Science (Vienna, Austria) and a BSc in Forestry and Environmental studies from the Albert-Ludwigs-University (Freiburg i. Br., Germany).
Blasius is working in the Bioregions Facility of EFI, promoting transregional cooperation for a sustainable and integrative forest-based circular bioeconomy. He is also involved in the development of a harmonized forest information system for Europe (FISE).
