The aim of the project was to apply a large scale forestry scenario model (EFISCEN) to the Arkhangelsk Forest Region in order to assess the future sustainable harvesting levels and to assess the development of the state of the forest. In addition, the project aimed to train Russian researchers and foresters to use the large scale planning model.
