EFI Young Leadership Programme 2018

The economic, social and environmental challenges of today need bright new thinking that will shape tomorrow.

EFI’s Young Leadership Programme targets the leaders of that future, bringing young professionals together with experts to create a new space where change can happen.

The Mediterranean, with its ecological and social specificities, has untapped potential to contribute to the leading role played by the forest sector in the global bioeconomy. New ideas and approaches are essential to improve the management of natural resources in this diverse and dynamic region, while sustainable and functional bioeconomy value chains must be created to realise the full worth of the region’s forests and support its rural livelihoods.

EFI’s Young Leadership Programme – Mediterranean edition (YLP-MED) provides training, knowledge sharing and networking on Mediterranean forest-based value chains and their contribution to a circular bioeconomy. Young professionals will interact with global and regional leaders, network with peers and develop strategic thinking on how to manage and use forest resources to address societal challenges.

The YLP-MED will take place from 26 November to 1 December 2018, also at the Sant Pau Site, where EFI has its Barcelona Office.
