Siebe Briers
Siebe is a facilitator of knowledge exchange, peer learning and networking to advance towards a sustainable forest bioeconomy.
In his role as deputy coordinator of EFI Bioregions, he works at the interface between policy makers, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and other bioeconomy practitioners.
Siebe has coordinated the delivery of a dozen in-person events and even more webinars targeted at (inter-)regional forest bioeconomy collaboration, matchmaking and innovation support.
Siebe holds a Master of Science in Agro- and Ecosystems engineering (major in forestry) and a postgraduate in Innovative Entrepreneurship from KU Leuven in Belgium.
His background in forestry, on the one hand, and in innovation, on the other hand, make him well-placed to support regional governments in their forest bioeconomy innovation and implementation activities.
