FOREST EUROPE releases report on The State of Europe’s Forests 2025
The State of Europe’s Forests 2025 report (SoEF 2025) provides a comprehensive overview of the condition, management, and use of forest resources across Europe. The report builds on internationally agreed indicators for sustainable forest management and is based on harmonised data provided by FOREST EUROPE signatory countries.
Released by FOREST EUROPE at the end of last month, SoEF 2025 provides policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders with robust and comparable data to support informed decision-making.
The flagship report of the FOREST EUROPE process, it reflects decades of pan-European cooperation, strengthening the science–policy interface in a rapidly changing environmental and socio-economic context.
With a reporting period of five years, the SoEF provides a regular backbone for gathering SFM-related information and contributes directly to FOREST EUROPE’s ongoing commitment to strengthen monitoring, reporting and assessment of sustainable forest management in Europe.
SOEF2025 webinar series
A series of webinars hosted by FOREST EUROPE will explore the indicators and data presented in the SoEF2025 report. The first webinar, on 21 April, will focus on forest health and vitality.
