Uforest Training Needs’ Assessment and Stakeholder Analysis (TNA)
The UForest ‘Training Needs Assessment and Stakeholder Analysis (TNA)’ report provides an overview of existing training needs for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in urban forestry and nature-based solutions (NBS). The survey targeted university students, professionals and citizens from different countries. It was translated into eight languages, corresponding to the native languages of the UForest partners, and 246 valid questionnaires were completed by respondents of 27 different nationalities.
The TNA identified high demand for skills in three areas: economics (leadership and management, business modelling, financial planning and entrepreneurship); the social context (cooperative leadership, societal impact and social business); and communication and information technologies (storytelling, cutting-edge technologies, marketing and communication strategies, and networking). This document serves as the basis for developing the UForest training programme on urban forestry for university students and practitioners.
