Know your plot: the importance of geolocation for farmers
To ensure that smallholder farmers are included in global supply chains for agricultural products like coffee, cocoa, rubber, palm oil and others, it is important to have the precise geolocation data for their plots of land.
However, farmers are often not aware of this growing requirement for geolocation information, who should collect this data, or how this should be done.
Aimed at farmers in producing countries, this flyer seeks to increase understanding of the importance of geolocation, explain how farmers can collect the geolocation information of their own plots, and outline who to ask for support if needed.
