About 

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated on the Vltava river, Prague is home to about 1.4 million people. Prague is home to a number of cultural attractions including Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Weather

Prague has a continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Prague weather in September is mild with an average temperature of 21°C. At night, the weather cools to 11°C, which is quite cold so don't forget to take a jacket out with you in the evening.

Currency

Currency – Czech Koruna (Kč). Payment / card – Widely accepted. Carry cash for shopping at the markets.  
Tips – Not formally expected but appreciated if given. Most restaurants will include a service charge and perhaps a cover fee.


Travel and Accommodation

Although the Czech Republic has several international airports, the largest and best-connected airport is located approximately 15 km away from Prague's city centre: Václav Havel Airport Prague.
