BioIndex - Developing the BioCities Index: a pathway to transition for integrating nature into smart city development

This project tackles developing the BioCities Index: a pathway to transition for integrating nature into smart city development”. The project will be: 

1. analysing the state of the art on urban analytics integrating nature into smart city development; 
2.. developing qualitative and quantitative indicators;
3. testing and validating analytical approaches via pilots and case studies; and
4. designing future services – a roadmap for smart biocities.

This project will be a concrete example on how cities can be transformed into Biocities thanks to the smart use of urban analytics to integrate nature in urban development.
