The project objectives were:
- to examine the definitions of forest products statistics and commodity coding systems for forest products trade flows;
- to evaluate the quality, reliability, and compatibility of forest products trade statistics;
- to produce proposals for improving the quality and reliability of forest products trade statistics in the forestry sector of the member states and EFTA countries;
- to improve the compatibility of the definitions.
