The project had two objectives: the first objective was to conduct a comparative study of existing Multipurpose Resource Inventories following the same type of process used to develop the nomenclature for mapping European Forests. The second objective was to use the information from the comparative study to complete a set of guidelines, which a nation or an organization can use for help in designing multiple purpose resource inventories.
