Anna-Maria Farsakoglou is a forest geneticist working on the conservation and sustainable use of forest genetic resources in Europe. She holds a BSc in Forestry and Natural Environment from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), an MSc in Quantitative Genetics and Genome Analysis from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a PhD in Forest Genetics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her work contributes to European cooperation on forest genetic resources, supporting the development of strategies, guidelines, and knowledge frameworks that inform policy and sustainable forest management. She has contributed to several European initiatives and technical outputs, including the "Forest Genetic Resources Strategy for Europe" and other reports and guidance documents.
