Dr. Florencia Franzini is a researcher in the Bioeconomy Program. Florencia holds an MSc in Forestry from the University of Helsinki and subsequently obtained a PhD with Distinction from the University of Helsinki. Florencia is interested in how human perception shape behaviors in complex systems, with project involvement focusing on European forest practitioners and their perceptions towards climate-smart forestry management.

Florencia is currently conducting research on forest practitioners across Europe and their perceptions towards various climate-smart forestry practices. Before joining EFI, Florencia examined how local public administrators in Finland perceive wooden multistorey buildings in an effort to understand how these perceptions shaped the diffusion of such projects across the country.
