Jeanne-Lazya Roux is a Junior Researcher at the European Forest Institute (Bonn). She has a background in law and forest policy. After she completed a master’s degree in Law at Stellenbosch University, South Africa and qualified as an attorney, she pursued a career in environmental policy, specifically forest policy. She obtained a master’s degree in Tropical and International Forestry at Göttingen University, Germany. Before she joined EFI, she completed traineeships, a.o. at DG CLIMA. She is interested in European forest policies and the analysis thereof, forest ecosystem services and benefits, and the relationship and perceptions society have of forests.
