Katharina Freund

A biologist by training, Katharina has worked in science communication across a range of disciplines for several years. Before joining EFI in 2022, she held positions at the Research Museum Koenig, the international Max Weber Foundation, and the Global Nature Fund. In her work, she has supported communication and dissemination activities as well as stakeholder engagement in international contexts. She particularly enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders and facilitating collaborative, impact-oriented science communication processes. “Forests mean different things to different people—good communication helps bring these perspectives together.”
