Katharina Freund

A biologist by training, Katharina has been working in science communication for several years across a range of disciplines. Before joining EFI in 2022, she worked with the Research Museum Koenig, the international Max Weber Foundation, and the Global Nature Fund. During her first two years at EFI, she supported Forest Europe in communication and dissemination activities until the German chairmanship concluded in 2024. Since then, she has been responsible for stakeholder engagement and communication within the TRANSFORMIT project. She particularly enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders and supporting collaborative, impact-oriented science-communication processes.
