Laurent is an agro-economist specializing in natural resource management, forest governance, and certification with extensive international experience. Since 2018, he has held several roles at the European Forest Institute, notably within EFITAP (since 2021), managing contracts, procurement, and country programmes across Congo, Gabon, Ghana and Cameroon. He coordinates with donors, leads project monitoring, develops national strategies, supports Timber Legality Assurance Systems, oversees financial planning, and represents EFI in international forums, while contributing to knowledge capture and thematic working groups. He previously worked over a decade in private sector, leading certification, forest management, and environmental systems, and held earlier roles in research, project coordination, and agro-industrial development across Africa and Asia.
