Lyla
O'Brien
Researcher
Lyla's research focuses on the conservation of primary and old-growth forests and perspectives of forest restoration in a European context, including related conflicts and governance challenges. While her work is interdisciplinary, she primarily uses qualitative methods in her research, including narrative and discourse analysis. Lyla holds an MPhil in biodiversity conservation and management from the University of Oxford, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Hartford, US. She is currently a a PhD candidate at Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
