
Maria Schloßmacher has been working in communications at EFI since 2019 mainly in the fields of natural disturbances and climate adaptation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science and a Master’s degree in European studies. Her experience is mainly linked to the field of international cooperation. Before joining EFI, she worked in areas of international cooperation, policy-making and sustainability which sharpened her view of the principal role of the local level and the importance of integrative approaches in a global context. Currently, she leads the communication activities in the EFI “Waldbrand-Klima-Resilienz” project and supports the EFI Bonn team with the organization and facilitation of events and the development of products to enhance the institute's outreach.
