The next Wind and Trees Conference will be in Rotorua on New Zealand´s North Island and will be during the week of the 24-28 February 2020.The conference will be based in the Novotel in Rotorua. Having the conference in Rotorua will allow visits to the huge plantation forest of Kaingaroa and to also native forests in the area.
Rotorua is an amazing city with a lot of thermal activity and the almost constant smell of sulphur in the air (you get rapidly used to it!). It is also a centre for Maori culture and we will almost certainly have an evening Hangi and cultural visit to a nearby Maori Village.
In addition we are planning an after confernece tour (4 days) to the west coast of the South Island.
The conference will be hosted by John Moore from SCION.
