Maintaining and enhancing biodiversity in forests is important, as it is threatened both in Europe and globally. In response, financing sustainable activities has become a priority, particularly within the European Union.
The EU Taxonomy aims to create a common way to classify sustainable economic activities for investors. To be considered environmentally sustainable, economic activities and investments must meet certain minimum requirements and adhere to screening criteria that are to be defined by delegated acts from the European Commission. However, specific criteria for biodiversity- in forest-related activities are not fully defined yet.
Our ThinkForest Ask a Scientist event will explore these issues. Participants will gain insights from scientists who contributed to the EFI From Science to Policy publication “Sustainable Finance and Forest Biodiversity Criteria".
In this webinar, you can:
engage with leading scientists involved in research on forest biodiversity and sustainable finance
ask questions directly to the scientists and gain a deeper understanding of the latest research and policy developments
