Inform-Prioritize-Collaborate: Cooperation of Regions on Innovation in Forest Management, Use of Wood and Forest-related Services

Started in 2014 as a joint initiative of relevant European organizations interested in keeping the forest-based sector vital and innovative, the 4th edition of the European Forest Innovation Workshop took place on 15-16 January 2020 in Florence, Italy.

It was a joint event together with the final conference of the ROSEWOOD project that deals with regional cooperation on wood mobilisation. ROSEWOOD is a coordination and support action within Horizon 2020.

The main objectives of the 4th edition were:

  • Presenting innovation initiatives from all over Europe, with a special attention to EIP AGRI Operational Groups;
  • Connecting experts and practitioners from EU regions to strengthen cross-border collaboration and provide inspiration for new innovation initiatives;
  • Motivating actors from the forest-based sector and regional authorities to engage in the design of relevant post-2020 EU policies to improve support for forest innovation.

A comprehensive documentation of the workshop including all presentations is available at the event website.

The workshop was organised by EFI, CEPF, Copa Cogeca, ERIAFF Network, ERRIN, Euromontana and EUSTAFOR.
