Forests for Resilient Water
Forestry is the new saviour. It is meant to take us from a fossil economy to a more bio-based economy. It is an area for climate gas emissions mitigation measures, a habitat, a place to be zen, a place to make money, an air filter, and a water purifier. Many problems, all to be partially solved by the forest.
On 23 April, join us at the Forests for Resilient Water event in Brussels, Belgium.
Discover how agriculture needs forested areas to retain more water and reduce the speed of water in the catchments. The event discusses how this can be done, given the growing need for a bioeconomy that leverages all that trees can contribute.
The programme includes:
- Part One – Knowledge baseline and status
- Part Two – European goals and aims
- Part three – The regional solutions
EFI and the Bioregions Facility are among the partners organising this event.
