A ThinkForest Roundtable Discussion was organised in Brussels on 30 May 2017. The event discussed Climate-Smart Forestry (CSF) and its connection to the European Commission LULUCF proposal.
A forthcoming EFI White Paper on Climate-Smart Forestry was presented by Prof. Gert-Jan Nabuurs. This paper is a follow-up to the 2015 From Science To Policy study, A new role for forests and the forest sector in the EU post-2020 climate targets. It considers the mitigation impacts of Climate-Smart Forestry in three case study areas in Europe:
- Spain
- Czech Republic
- Ireland.
