This week EFI is hosting Irish Minister of State Andrew Doyle, who is visiting Helsinki and Joensuu to discuss forest bioeconomy and European forest policy.

The visit aims to showcase Finnish bioeconomy and strengthen Finnish and Irish cooperation.

Bioeconomy is one of EFI’s main pillars of research, and during the visit we have aimed to bring practical examples from the business world as well as the latest research data. The Minister will be visiting some of our collaborators and various forest-related businesses in the North Karelia region.
