EFIMED newsletter

We celebrate the arrival of spring with a new edition of the EFI Mediterranean Facility (EFIMED) newsletter full of stories, resources, and updates. The most important one that you should mark in your calendar is the extension of the registration deadline for the Young Leaders Programme - Mediterranean 2023 until 16 April!

The EFIMED team has been very busy with various activities and events in March. Our colleague Mercedes Caron was selected to be part of the Global Young Academy for her excellence in scientific research and commitment to society. In addition, EFIMED participated in a high-level seminar on the potential of forests in climate change mitigation held at the Finnish embassy in Spain.

In this edition of the newsletter, we also include two blog posts published by EFIMED expert Eduard Mauri. The first one addresses the importance of considering FAIR principles when generating knowledge in European projects, while the second article compiles a series of resources and tools on management practices for the restoration of degraded Mediterranean forest landscapes.

As ever, this edition includes calls, upcoming events and publications from all over the Mediterranean, as well as items of interest from elsewhere.
