Last year, EUFORE project held a European-level stakeholder workshop and on 27 November 2024, they will host the second one in Brussels! The workshop will be a unique opportunity for participants to engage with fellow stakeholders, as EUFORE presents the latest outcomes of their research, and work together to shape the future of forest research and innovation in Europe.
The first part of the workshop will offer an overview of the progress of various research activities. A key highlight of the workshop will be the work regarding the Stakeholder Engagement towards a European Partnership on Forests and Forestry, which focuses on developing the European Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for forests and the forest-based sector. After collaborative efforts with regional stakeholders, EUFORE is ready to present the draft of the SRIA (see currently available version here) and some first suggestions for the draft roadmap for SRIA implementation.
During the second part of the workshop, the workshop will open the floor for a dynamic discussion on the SRIA draft roadmap at the European level. In this interactive session, participants are invited to share their insights, ideas, and perspectives on how to implement the SRIA within the European Partnership “Forests and Forestry for a Sustainable Future.” Your contributions will be instrumental in refining the SRIA and its roadmap, ensuring they meet the needs and aspirations of stakeholders across Europe. A more detailed agenda will be shared closer to the workshop.
