Call for SAB member candidates

EFI is looking for candidates to fulfill four (4) Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) memberships.

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) contributes to the research and policy support activities of EFI. Its work includes anticipating future research needs, stimulating research and study initiatives, and monitoring EFI's activities. The SAB works as an independent body and it reports to the Board of EFI.

The SAB members will be appointed for a three-year period with the possibility of a three-year extension. The membership period starts according to the Board’s decision. The SAB members work on voluntary basis.

The SAB members should be internationally known experts with considerable scientific achievements and experience. To maintain the capacity of the SAB to meet the current and future needs of EFI, especially female candidates and experts on the following topics are encouraged to apply:

  • Forest growth and yield modelling
  • Forest economics including social aspects
  • Forest policy and governance
  • Forest bioeconomy

Applications from experts on other related fields are welcome, but expertise and experience matching exactly with the fields outlined above is especially valued.

EFI Staff members are not eligible to apply.
