EFIMED's newsletter gets a complete makeover and returns in September!
Last EFIMED newsletter of the summer! This July's issue is packed with news and has a fresher and more visually appealing look. The top story featured in this bulletin is the Mediterranean edition of EFI’s Young Leadership Programme which took place in early July and brought together 14 young people from different countries willing to train and develop their skills to become the young leaders for a more sustainable (forest) future.
In addition, it also includes updates and articles on the recently adopted EU Forestry Strategy aimed at protecting and restoring Europe's forests and putting them at the top of the EU's green agenda. This newsletter also focuses on hot topics this summer such as forest resilience, wildfire prevention and policies for better forest management and mitigating the effects of climate change, which are hitting the Mediterranean particularly hard this year.
