As fire becomes a complex socio-ecological issue, it demands robust institutions, transparent and accountable procedures, and permanent engagement of key stakeholders, considering the forest as an asset for biodiversity, carbon sequestration and public health. The conference will therefore be the meeting point of countries, agencies, private organizations and other different stakeholders to discuss their views and share their experiences, towards more protected communities and nations against the growing threat of wildfires in every region of the world. EFI is an institutional partner of the conference.
