The 1st European conference on small forest holdings, which will be held 20-22 May 2025 in Rome (FAO Headquarters), aims to bring together private, public and collective forest owners' associations and cooperatives, national and regional forest authorities, forest enterprises, professionals and researchers, NGOs and all the stakeholders involved in Small Forest Holdings (SFH) in Europe.
The conference will focus on exploring risks, and opportunities of Small-Scale Forestry within the EU, while promoting Sustainable Forest Management and supporting local value chains based on forest products and ecosystem service from European small forest properties.
EFI is one of the co-organisers of the conference.
