Knowledge transfer & capacity building

EFI facilities aim at stakeholder interaction with a specific focus on capacity building activities. The Planted Forests Facility contributes to this objective by not only supporting the organisation of training courses for scientists within the framework of the EVOLTREE network, but also organising summershools and workshop and other events for end-users such as forest owners, forest managers, companies, decision makers, regional authorities, NGO members and cross-sectorial organisations.
In 2018, the Planted Forests Facility has organised the following capacity building activities:
- Summer school on Forest Data Management and Analysis (9-13 July)
- Tree motion and wind measurement workshop (23-25 April)
- Six EVOLTREE training courses
