Smallholder inclusion
Promoting inclusion of smallholders in supply chains for legal and deforestation-free palm oil was a key project aim due to the important role of smallholders in the sector and their economic vulnerability.

Indonesia
Working with partners on the ground, we supported mapping of smallholder plantations, collection of smallholder geolocation information, acceleration of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification for smallholders, and issuance of cultivation registration certificate (Surat Tanda Daftar Budidaya, or STD-B) for smallholders, as a key requirement for obtaining ISPO certification.
