Indonesia

Led by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), a set of ‘Sustainable Jurisdictions Indicators’, or SJI, help demonstrate and track district progress towards sustainability. The SJI were developed through a multistakeholder process supported by EFI and launched by the Indonesian Government at the B20 Investment Forum in Bali in 2022. 

The 24 indicators across environmental, socio-economic and governance pillars are intended to attract commodity buyers and green investment, guide policy and planning decisions, incentivise districts to progress towards sustainability, and support due diligence for the EUDR and other global markets. An online data platform presents official data on each indicator.
