This Uforest workshop in Brussels will provide presentations and a panel discussion to showcase how cities can best implement effective urban forestry as part of wider sustainability and greening initiatives. With our panelists Ian Whitehead (EFI/RWTH Aachen), Maria Chiara Pastore (Politecnico di Milano) and Colm O'Driscoll (Etifor), we will explore developments in urban forestry at EU level, including the recent Uforest publications "Unlocking the Potential of Urban Forests" and "Innovation Blueprint". These provide background and guidelines for developing local urban forestry action plans and innovative approaches at city level.
The event is organized in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities - #EURegionsWeek - and moderated by Gesche Schifferdecker (EFI).
