With increasing climate change impacts, enhancing the resilience of forest ecosystems has recently become a top priority for decision makers. Our RESONATE Final Policy Workshop on 10 February 2025 in Brussels will explore how resilience knowledge and solutions can be adopted and mainstreamed in European forestry and wood-based value chains. See the programme here.

We will discuss and co-create recommendations based on new research findings and their implications for current policy demands and further research needs. In different sessions, we will address three main topics: (1) Disturbance risk management and climate change adaptation, (2) The role of biodiversity for forest resilience (3) Value chain resilience and bioeceonomy opportunities.

This policy event is designed for policy actors, decision-makers and experts in forest ecosystems, forest management and forest-based industries across Europe, including from the European Commission, advocacy groups and national representatives. It is co-hosted by EFI, the InnovaWood network and Prospex Institute.  The policy workshop is organised back-to-back with the EFI-ERIAFF Forest Innovation Workshop on 11-12 February 2025 in Brussels.
